MY TOP 4 REGRETS:

  1. One regret I have: using a website to track RSVP’s. About half of our guests had trouble submitting their RSVP’s online, so I had to do it manually for so many people. In retrospect, it would’ve been simpler to do the RSVP cards, but definitely more costly. So even though it was a pain in the butt, I did save some money on extra postage.
  2. 2. I wish I wore my hair down. I absolutely loved the up-do she did for me, but think it would’ve been more “me” if I left it down. I wanted it up to show off the back of the dress, but realized that most of the time I had my vail on and you couldn’t see the back of my dress. And being by the beach all the pretty curl strands went flat and it looked messy by the end. I’m being nit-picky, I love my photos and videos.
  3. I think if I were to do it all over again, I would schedule a separate photo/video shoot with Josh for our wedding photos. It was A LOT to squeeze into one day, and our photoshoot on the beach during cocktail hour ran longer than expected and ended up pushing our entire timeline down, so the dancing at the end of the night got cut short. Most of the guests didn’t even notice, but I felt like the fun, dancing part of our wedding ended up being so short and I barely had time to enjoy the photobooth. I didn’t want to have to pay for hair/makeup and photo/video twice, but I think it would’ve been worth it. So consider that for your wedding!
  4. Not starting our dance lessons sooner! We did a 3.5 minute dance, with lifts/tricks/costume change – it was a full production, and it was a lot to cram into the last 2 months. Start your dance lessons as early as possible!
