Ginger Swiss Chard

This Swiss Chard dish makes a great side dish on any occasion. It’s fairly easy to do, and has minimal ingredients, and has a ton of flavor. I made this for Thanksgiving for 12 people, and we had lots of left overs, so adjust the recipe to your needs!

gluten free ~ dairy free ~ soy free ~ grain free ~ vegetarian

servings: 12-14 people

cook time: 10-20 minutes

prep time: 10- 20 minutes

ingredients:

  • 6 lbs organic swiss chard
  • 1/2 ginger
  • 7 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil or grass-fed butter
  • 1 onion

directions:

  • wash and thoroughly dry all of your organic swiss chard
  • peel and grate half the ginger

  • chop the onion
  • chop 7 cloves of garlic
  • heat the skillet to medium heat, and let the coconut oil or butter melt in the pan
  • place the onion, garlic, and ginger in the heated skillet

  • cook ingredients in the pan until onions are soft
  • loosely chop the chard

  • place the lid on to steam the greensIMG_7558
  • uncover and mix around until soft
  • enjoy 🙂
